I'm also a great believer in the vitamin C and zinc tablets, also chicken soup, and essential oils. I add an anti viral mix of essential oils to warm baths, and, at the beginning of a cold I start the day with a steam inhalation - get a bowl of boiling water and add 1 drop each of lavender, tea tree and eucalyptus pure essential oil, then lean over the bowl with a towel over your head and inhale. Spend a lot of time in bed, and use those tissues with balm in them to avoid the kind of nose that glows in the dark! There's also a product you can put up you nose to help - it's called First Defence, and it's by Vicks - that's another thing you can try - get OH to rub Vick on your chest. |
