Re: yoga

I started a yoga class yesterday in a nearby school hall.
When I first arrived there were just 2 "old" women and a Gary Glitter look alike called Stanley and I wondered what I was doing there!
The teacher was very good and more people arrived later, but still only a small class.
I was amazed at how difficult the class was but the stretches were lovely, and you always only do what feels comfortable for your body.
We had to do breathing in and out of each nostril for a while, which I found a bit strange but then she explained the benefits.
If what the teacher says is true, it really is a fabulous work out and I could certainly feel it.
We had to attempt to stand on our heads and the 2 "old" ladies were up there like a shot, while I was left rolling backwards and forwards like a distressed weeble!
Anyway I shall certainly be going back next week, so give it a go. But try and go to a proper class and teacher. I've been before to a class in my gym but it was too crowded and the teacher wasn't a patch on my one.
The relaxation part is the best - i fell asleep at the begining and the end!
We had to chant Hommmmmmm at the end, I felt a bit daft but gave it a go!
Go for it and try it out, good luck,
