Pleased to hear the good news regarding you Dad, good wishes to him and to you and your family.

About five years ago my Dad had cancer of the bladder and I know how terrifying (? spelling) that felt. Thankfully now everything seems OK.

Go and enjoy your holiday and bring him lots of photos back, otherwise he will be worring about you, worrying about him!!
