Hi Snowy - Like you, I had all my "bits" taken out and was plunged into the hell that is the menopause straight away. HRT wasn't suitable for me, so I struggled on for a bit, but couldn't put up with the hot flushes. The doctor gave me Chlonidine which helps with that a good bit, but doesn't stop them altogether. I also use one of those "Ladycare" magnet thingies. Bit of a belt and braces thing!! To be honest, I wish I'd just put up with the heavy periods - my body has gone to pot since I had the hysterectomy!! lol.
