Hi girls, I'm back. Thank you so much, AlexP and mjm, for your good wishes for yesterday. I was really touched that even though I wasn't here you were still thinking about me. We had a wonderful day, and the sun shone, which fitted nicely with yesterday's post! Hope you're having better weather today, valaber. It's interesting that you're talking about changes, anne1005, because last night I had a major change. Many of you will know that I have a big problem when I'm eating out socially, especially if the food is plated rather than buffet style. I'm always embarrassed about leaving food on my plate. Well, last night, after the ceremony we had a meal out with YS and his three housemates, and their parents. Everyone had starters, and although mine was yummy it was worryingly big! When the main course arrived, I found that after I'd eaten less than half of it, I was starting to feel full, and so ........ I left the rest, despite the fact that everyone else cleared their plates. Furthermore when the waitress came to clear away, she looked worried and asked if everything was OK. I said it was delicious, but I was full up. Then everyone had dessert, except me. And do you know girls, I felt fine! Here's another change for you. I don't want to bore you, but at the weekend I bought a skirt in the sales and I had to send the assistant back for a smaller size! Now just in case you think it's all good news, I did have a cooked breakfast this morning and I've just had pizza for lunch. Not too much of it, but I could do with getting back to eating more fruit and veg. Finally a funny: when I left most of my main course last night YS (the graduate!) said in an aside "You were going to eat the rest of that but Paul McK**** wouldn't let you!". How true! |
