Valaber, here's what I do with my breakfast cereal, because I have the same issues about food as you, and indeed most of us brought up on waste not, want not: having poured out a bowlful, I immediately put some back. I know that if what's left isn't enough I can get some more, but I'm not wasting any. My portion size has gradually been getting smaller. If I'm having a hungry day I just have a bit more. Unfortunately, AlexP, I don't like olives, but I find a square or two of very dark chocolate keeps the munchies at bay. Like the olives, it too has an intense flavour. I had a great moment today. I met up with some friends I hadn't seen for a wee while and one of them said "You've been losing weight!" Yippee! Because I've lost it so slowly, people who see me every day don't really notice, so my pal provided much needed encouragement. Last night's exercise was dancing to Diana Ross at a concert in Liverpool. "Ooooooooooh, Baby Love, my Baby Love...." We were at Deacon Blue the night before, so that's three concerts in the space of a week. I'm hoping all that shakin' and shimmyin' will have done me good. I certainly exercised my vocal chords. YS is graduating tomorrow, so I will be away overnight, and next weekend we are off to a wedding. If I'm not on here so much, please don't think I've forgotten you all. I should be able to log on mid week. Keep smiling, and remember to replace strong drink with strong mints, unless you are at a graduation or a wedding! Love Sella. |
