Hi tree. Some time ago an article appeared about black cohosh having detrimental effects on the liver but that was easily disproved. I have read nothing about it since but I can say it helped me and quite a few of my friends a few years ago. I now go through life, at 56 taking no tablets or remedies for anything and long may it last.
