Re: Menopause problems due to having had a hysterectomy!

I had a hysterectomy a year ago (everything removed!) and the hot flashes arrived about 2 weeks afterwards and drove me nuts! I can't take HRT so spent ages looking on the internet for herbal solutions. Soya seems to be one of the better ones, which you can get from soya milk (which is horrid, so I put a little nesquik in it!)or capsules from health shops. Black cohosh is supposed to be ok, but can have side effects.I currently take Menopace, which is a multi-vit, with soya in. It has certainly taken the edge off the hot flashes. Mine wake me up and I have spent many a night throwing the duvet off and then grabbing it back 5 minutes later because I'm cold!
