Oh, you poor thing- I really sympathise..

I had the same hysterectomy 15 years ago(I was pretty young then) but have had HRT ever since. First I had an oestrogen implant and then I went on to patches. I keep thinking I should come off them, but my doctors say that I don't have to- and that the HRT risks don't apply so much to people with no ovaries and who are on oestrogen only. The thing is you read conflicting reports almost daily, don't you? I do know tho, that I needed the oestrogen to protect me from osteoporosis,initially. So I have decided to stay on them for the time being...

Anyway. I do hope you get some help soon. How long have you got to wait before going back to the consultant? In the meantime, try going down to your local healthfood store and ask about Black Cohosh, and Red Clover, they are supposed to help the flushes.
