Thank you for that honeybunny - as you said, life is full of setbacks and successes and we mustn't let the setbacks pull us down or detract from the successes. I haven't lost any weight at all over the last couple of weeks (I haven't put any on either), but I still feel as though I have made progress. Why? Because I feel as though I understand where I have gone wrong and I feel more in control of my eating habits than I ever have been. To me, this is progress and can be looked on as a 'success', which makes the setback of not having lost weight easier to accept. I guess it could be said that I've reached a point where I am eating suitably for my current weight and am maintaining it! I don't want things to remain as they are - I very much want to lose weight - but I do feel that I have made progress in other ways. Now, I have to use what I have learnt about myself and food to 'chivvy up' the weight loss! Good luck everyone over the next couple of weeks and well done to you all - for losing weight, for staying in control even if you haven't lost anything, for trying hard, for recognising where you've gone wrong - they're all achievements. |
