Hi Anon,
I had this op 2 years ago and it's made such a difference to my everyday life.
I was only in hospital for 36 hours after very little discomfort and no problems. Initialy, straight afterwards you will wake up to a catheter and be confined to bed but as soon as you are 'disconnected' and can perform your bodily functions normaly (!?) then you go home being careful not to lift, drive or over exert yourself for a while.
Go for it. You won't regret it, all the best
