Oh dear. It was my friend's birthday today so I took her out to lunch. I started off well - we shared a starter, then I had a salad - not too bad, but the ball was now rolling downhill all the way ...... I finished with - (whisper, whisper) sticky toffee pudding and cream.

Now for the good news. When OH and I went to the wine bar tonight I drank fizzy water - all night. And when we had our meal I let him have half of mine.

I'm going to have to watch it though, so I'm going to try and go swimming tomorrow.
