Hi I also sent in a scone recipe....much the same as above and I also make them daily as I own a cafe bistro.... To make cheese scones omit the sugar and the raisins (I use sultanas) add 4oz of strong chedder and a pinch of mustard powder and a pinch of salt. Rub marg and flour together Mix in cheese and mustard powder and salt Add egg and add milk a bit at a time until you have a firm dough. Cut into rounds and sprinkle a little cheese on top before putting in the oven. Easy Peasy |
