Nescafe Alta Rica and Expresso are really good instant coffees - rich and strong. For "real" coffee, always use Lavazza Red which is perfect in a cafetiere. Cannot be faffed with fancy coffee machines: best coffee I have had was just made in a jug and strained (in France)...

Making sure the water is just off the boil gets a better brew.

For some bizarre reason Asda have all the Nescafe cru coffees for Ł2 a jar at the moment - almost half price... new launch I think!?
