i had a zanussi washer dryer that lasted 13 years, and was still going strong when we moved to a built in Electrolus washer dryer.
The zanussi was vented, and saw me through towelling nappies and baby/toddler clothes. I never ever did a wash/dry. I always sorted stuff out first, and dried as much as possible, but I did that when i had a seperate dryer too.

The electrolux is condenser and is brilliant too.

I generally only use a dryer for socks and pants (life is too short to peg socks on the line) and to finish off towels. But both are absolutely fine.
