I can't put it off any longer. I need to become a TwiddleTigger. You were right Mrs T - moving clutter from one room to another only works temporarily. Having cleared the study/spare room for decorating and put it all in the dining room, I now have to decide what to put back and what to dump. It is going to take me all day. My usual modus operandi in this situation is to make three piles. 1) to dump, 2) to keep, and 3) (the largest) can't decide. The can't decide pile is then added to the keep pile and finally some of the to dump pile is retrieved. I end up with about 3 things to throw away and am back where I started. As for magazines - you will not be surprized to know I have loads of them which I keep meaning to go through and cut bits out which of course I will never refer to again. However I have discovered one use for old WH mags. Keep all of last year. Each month re-read the appropriate edition. Apart from the fashion pages (which I never look at anyway)you will never know the difference and save yourself some money. This is my credit crunch tip of the year. Happy twiddling everyone.
