Mrs T - go back to the wool shop and ask them to cast on for you. Most wool shops are delighted to help. If you do manage it, don't cast on too tightly.

I'm trying to learn to crochet, and finding it very difficult. Knitting I can do, but crochet...aargh. I can't seem to hold the yarn correctly, so the tension is all over the place
