Hard one this as teh fair me thinks it's all down to personal taste, but when I go somewhere so minimal even the kettle is in a cupboard I wonder what the person is trying to hide.
To me a home is the people in it firstly, when the children are at their grandparents it's too quiet and teh heart of our home has gone. Still have the dog, cat, hens, G.pigs and Rabbits though. It's also a place where you can fully express yourself so ours is filled with colour adn vintage ephemera and well lots and lots of noise. Lastly you know it's a home when you shut teh door and don't feel any need to go back out there again. Beige sterile houses worry and depress me adn I need to leave them pretty quick.
