It seems inexplicable to us as mums, but apparently soldiers actually look forward to getting to the scene of the action....!

With my fellow mum's hat on, I jhust hope your 'adopted son' comes home safely to his family and friends.

I'm sure his wife is glad to know that you are 'around' to call on as necessary, if her nerves get too jumpy.
