I might be one of the older forum ladies, but I have always loved make-up, perfume, clothes, etc, but what I want to know is, do you stick to the same makeup, or are you always upto date with the new ranges.
I have used Bobby Brown and Mac products for quite a few years now, their Spring colours are just so pretty. Plasmo x

hallo plasmo I usually use Clarins makeup and face creams but I fancy a change, I wanted to try the mineral makeup you all keep talking about but am I right in thinking it does not conceal blemishes as I have many due to being out in the the sun a lot while playing golf and the fact that I am allergic to lanolin makes me stick to the tried and tested. Brandy Queen I wouldnt waste your money getting Laura Geller from QVC,get it from Ebay Even if you buy it outright (ie dont bid for it) it is loads cheaper. If you particuarly want the tsv on QVC wait about a week then go to Ebay and it will be on their for loads less. I recently bought balance n brighten, bronze n brighten and balance n blush in golden apricot for £20 in total plus £1.99 for 1st class posting Tanya

Plasmo, I reckon if you're already using Bobbbi Brown and Mac and trying out their new season collections you are bound to be 'on trend' as they say whatever your age. I like Laura Mercier and Chantecaille too (to be found in any browse round Space NK). But I wouldn't really argue either are better than Bobbi Brown. I always have a good look at new ranges but always come back to those - plus I do think Clinique have some good eye and lip sheer colours and I always get one of the new range of Juicy Tubes each summer (though suspect I'm actually buying more or less the same colour each year!)

Can't say I have any particular favourite brand. I'm a bit of a butterfly! At the moment I have Mac, Clarins, Clinique, Max Factor and Bourgeois in the make up bag!

Thanks for that girls, apparently I learnt today Bobby Brown has a slot on QVC I didnt know that wonder if it is cheaper. I would very much like to try the Laura Mercier range but would have to go to Birmingham to Selfridges as there is nowhere near Derby. Plasmo x

I always try to wear as little as possible day to day thought can't step outside without eybrow pencil or mascara! I've been using Mac make up for years, they have such great colours and I really like Lip Glass. Also a big fan of Juicy Tubes. Have just started using Bare Escentuals mineral makeup, getting it from QVC and the eye colours in particular are really good. Have just received some Models Prefer makeup (also QVC) so will be trying that out, have used their mascara and really liked it. Probably shouldn't at my age but also love Urban Decay glitter eyeliners for a bit of extra sparkle when I'm going out - they really bring your eyes to life and a little goes a long way. Lord & Berry do good eyebrow pencils - I've seen them in a couple of department stores though usually get them from QVC - I do not watch shopping channels 24 hours a day, honest!!

Plasmo, don't know if Nottingham is easier to get to for you than Birmingham but they have a Space NK, as does Birmingham. And (I think) all Space NKs have Laura Mercier - though would be worth phoning to double-check first if you were going. They usually have Chantecaille and By Terry too which are well worth investigating.
