Does anyone else suffer from sore feet? It's probably due to my arthritis, but if I do even a little bit of walking the sole of my feet are agony, they burn and it feels as if I can feel every lump and bump on the pavement. I went shopping today, and after an hour I was ready to go home.
And that's wearing normal shoes or boots with decent soles (not paper thin ones) and not too high a heel. I've got some wonderful shoes that I used to be able to wear when I went out, but now are out of the question.
I've got some MBT's and they seem to be not too bad, but they aren't exactly elegant.
Any ideas girls?

Hi Wispa,
I have this problem as well and really annoying it is too! I always take a pair of half inner soles with me and put them in my shoes when the burning starts which buys me some more time. Strangely if I put them in when I first go out it doesn't gain me any extra pain free time at all .....

Hi Lille,
Try this website for wide fitting shoes or better still visit the shop in Bath. I did with a friend who was looking for wide fitting shoes and she was delighted with hers.

Good luck.

Glynis,
How sad am I to be posting this, but......
This gadget on QVC is brilliant and the best thing I have ever found to remove hard skin. In no time at all this, along with a good foot moisturiser, cured my cracked heels.

It's called the microplane remove and smooth foot care

As a follow up to cracked heels........to keep my feet smooth and supple, when I am at home in the evenings I rub lots of moisturiser into my feet and put an old pair of socks on. The warmth and heat from my feet really helps the moisturiser to penetrate. I never wear shoes indoors either (except when we have company!) and I think this helps to exercise your feet too.

I have a "magic pot" beside my bed, which contains all my left over moisturisers, body lotion, samples, etc. And every night I massage it into my feet.

Hi lillie I have found that Crabtree and Evelyns 60 second fix for feet, really useful but only if I keep up to them . At the other extreme I read somewhere that lots of ladies in US were having Botox injections in the soles of their feet ! I think this problem is more common than we realise don,t you?

The symptoms you mention are not detailed enough perhaps; however, I had a problem with hot feet, swelling and pain under the sole. I went to the doctor who was not much help (failed to diagnose the problem, but I was lucky enough to have at that time private health care; my private doctor said that I had inflamed tendons and that I need to see a physiotherapist. The physio used ultrasound to treat the problem as massage was so painful. After 10 sessions and doing exercises recommended the pain went away. Unfortunately its now returned so its back to the physio for me! Oh and I forgot to mention, the physio also recommended a bag a frozen peas...not to eat but to put under my foot, to reduce the swelling.
Thats my story...hope it helps you decide what action to take next

Thanks Alig,
the pain is in the ball of the foot, no where else. And only when I walk. It's a burning sensation, really sore and tender.
I had tendonitis a few years ago, but that was the achilles tendon. And I've got a bit of arthritis.
