I don't know why and perhaps it is just my computer but every time this ad appears on the web page it creates a problem for me. If the cursor goes over it seems to spread over the web page and stop you in your tracks. It doesn't happen with any other advert.

Hi emptynest, I'm having the same problem. When it spreads over in the bottom left hand corner there is a 'close' and 'x' but it disappears before I can close it down. It's driving me nuts and it spoils what otherwise is a good forum. Maureen

Hi you both, Just had exactly the same problem and making me so cross. My daughter suggests just using the scroll button on mouse to move up and down. Takes a bit of getting used to but you dont have to go near the pesky advert.Try it.

I dont quite know where to post this. Wanted to put it in website feedback but couldnt do it on main index so sneaked in through the back door (of the Polo). What I want to know is this.... When you look in Who's Online, it tells you **** Reading a Post in Flat Mode..... What on earth does that mean ??? Are they prostrate whilst reading it ? Seriously please someone put me out of my misery, I know curiosity killed the cat and all that but it is starting to get to me. Only been doing this for a couple of days and am addicted.

Thanks Jewells - that does work but it is difficult to get used to moving about on screen in a different way. I am glad that I am not the only one having problems.

Hi mjm, the VW Polo advert on right hand side of the screen. (It isnt always there, just now and then.) Move your cursor over it and see what happens. It truly is a pain in the proverbial but I suppose it is achieving what it was set out to do. Oh the power of advertising!!!!! I too am still waiting for a reply to my question. I think I will try lying on the floor and read a post and see what happens. Cheers for now as the family are eagerly awaiting their evening delicacy.

OOPS, lost track of the time, forgot all about supper, doesnt time fly when your having fun. I sent OH back out for a chinese. I do hope that doesnt become a habbit.
I see what you are saying about the vw polo advert!
Its a pity Morrisons dont do some kind of loyalty thingy, to get cheaper fuel, that would be really useful
I dont spend enough at Tescos to make it worth while, I do use the club card though, but never get very excited when the reward comes through the door!

Hi mjm, Morrisons do it the other way. If you buy your fuel from them you can amass points to get money off your shopping. Don't know about your area but they consistently come up as the cheapest in our area for petrol prices.

Jewels flat mode (i think)means their looking at a posting on it's own (usually the last ) rather than a list of postings which is what threaded means. Just press the button at the top that says threaded and it will automaticly change you setting to flat and you'll see what I mean... don't worry you can change it back just as easy! means they don't have to check down the whole list. And no your not stupid it's a poorly designed system! I just press buttons to see what happens! Oh well this cat's down to 5 lives!!!

Just ask for the card next time you fill up. It's not a lot but hey, every little helps. Whereabouts in Scotland are you? I keep trying to get to a meet-up or a supper club but stuff keeps getting in the way.

Thanks Superbakerqueen, Just tried it and see what you mean. The only thing that seems a bit odd is it isnt in chronological order. Seems a bit haphazard. Will be more confident in future in pressing all the buttons to see what happens.

This polo ad is really getting to me. I feel like screaming! One things for sure - when I next go to buy a car I am definitely not getting a polo! That ad is going to lose them sales rather than encourage people to buy the car.
