Can anyone give me any ideas for a gift just for my daughter from me to tell her how proud & special she is & maybe a special verse from a mum to her daughter on her wedding day.

Do you have a special piece of family jewellery that you could pass on to her? Otherwise how about a pair of pearl earrings or a pretty bracelet with a couple of charms which can be added to over the years?

How about a photo album of her life so far, you can add comments and handwritten memories.....leave blank pages at the end for her to continue to add to her life story in pictures which will include her new husband. In time it will turn into an heirloom to pass on to any children.

I saw a most unusual photo a couple of years ago, that showed mum and daughter holding hands facing each other, but at arms length, and in the background was her new huband to be,the photo then seamlessly showed mum letting go of her daughters left hand, which then half-turned and faced her new husband to be,with her left arm outstretched reaching his right hand, then again seamlessly,it showed the daughter in the arms of her future husband and mum in the background. It was all slightly misty and flowers strewn on the floor. I've never seen a photo like it since, but it was gorgeous.

Oh both of those ideas are so beautiful, why not do both. Money cannot buy the sentiment of them and I know I would have loved them, when I got married. Sorry but I was going to say that my parents paid for our honeymoon but I think (without saying so) that the sentiments are far more special than what money can buy!!!!!!

What about a charm bracelet. You could add one charm, maybe a church if it's a church wedding. Then other charms on appropraite dates - weeding anniversaries, birth of a child, etc
