Finally a Granny
      #109952 - 03/05/2008 06:44

I posted a few weeks ago to say I would be a granny in 4 weeks - well it happened. We got a gorgeous little girl called Lilly Anne. She was born on April 9 in Perth Australia. We went over when she was a week old and spent 11 days with them. Got to have lots of cuddles and kisses. She is a good baby (so far) so they are very lucky. I hope to go back in a few months for more cuddles. My husband was thrilled with her and also did lots of cuddling.

Many congratulations. It's fantastic being a granny. I think nicer than being a mum. I have my little fella visiting for the weekend, at the ripe old age of 8 weeks!

Jill

Congratulations.... I am really happy for you, and you went to Perth, WA!!!

I have been a grandma for 3 and a half years now... 2 boys, I love them to bits. My daughter is due her third in September, I have asked her if it's a girl, I would love her to be called Lily/Lilly, but if it is a girl, she will call her Samantha

I also used to live in Perth, WA for 20 years.

A friend of mine once said, you love your kids but you are in love with your grandchildren, how true.

Savour every minute with Lilly.

Hugs

Thanks for all the good wishes - meant to say we are in Australia - but we are on the east coast in Queensland and they are on the west coast. Takes about 4 hours in a direct flight. Heading back in a few months. We are besotted and keep looking at the photos wondering if it is true.
Perth is a great city and changing all the time. We lived in Busselton (south of Perth) when I was pregnant with my son who is now 35 and the father of Lilly. He has done a complete turnaround and gone over there to live.

Well done Jill being a Grandma is the best role ever. I have 6 granddaughters aged between 5 and 15 and we have cottage holidays every summer so that the cousins get to know one another. My three daughters each have two daughters. Two of the daughters live at opposite ends of the country.

Cheers enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!every minute!!!!!
