please can you tell me what would be a really good read,as i havent read for some time and am finding it hard to get back into reading, think having to wear glasses now has made it less enjoyable. the last couple of books i read and relly enjoyed were S Faulks birdsong.b.bainbridge the bottle factory.and anne tyler the accidential tourist.all these three books i found really great and couldnt wait to turn each page. so i would be most grateful if you could suggest a really good book that i would find hard to put down from the start. thank you for your time
love

Hi oliveoil, Try anything by Patrick Gale. Also 'the kite runner' and 'a thousand splendid suns' I hate having to look for my glasses when I want to read - I've ended up with pairs all over the place

Have a look at our Online Forum Book Club.Emerald has posted a list of books for the next 6 months. They have all been chosen by Forum members and I have been introduced to many new books this way. The reviews are good and give you a idea about the book before you read it. Happy reading!
