Hi
Is there a Book Club in Lincolnshire? I live in Lincoln and would like to find a group.

Ok, so if there is no book club how about starting one?
It could be in Lincoln or Newark? Anybody interested?

Hi Lola

I'm in Lincoln too. I used to be member of two book clubs. One was in the central library but I'm not sure if it's still going. Did you know there's one in Waterstones in Cornhill? I'd be inclined to go there if I was wanting to get involved in a reading group again.

What are you reading at the moment? I've just finished a historical novel called A Small Part of History and am just starting the latest Odd Thomas (Odd Hours) by Dean Koontz. A ghost story in honour of the season.

Best wishes
Angel

Hi Angel
Thanks for the reply.
I have just finished reading "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho, been meaning to read that for a long time. I like History so I read fiction and non-fiction : Antonia Fraser also Philippa Gregory. I quite enjoyed my Christmas pressie from my husband last year Ken Follett Worlds End.

Just trying to get a cop of M.R. James "Casting the Runes" for Christmas Eve (always like a good ghost story over Christmas).

Best
Jane

Hi Jane

We covered the Alchemist in one of the book clubs I mentioned. I quite enjoyed it. I also love history. Have you read the lastest Phillipa Gregory? I was hoping her latest would be about Catherine Parr if she had kept with her Tudor chronology and I think she's a fascinating character. She went for Mary Queen of Scots instead. I'll probably drop a few hints for Christmas. I read Ken Follett's Pillars of the Earth but not his latest one so I might give that a try. I also love a good ghost story for Christmas or indeed any time. I'm just reading the latest Odd "I see dead people" Thomas in honour of Halloween.

Love,
Angel
