Looking for a friend in Aberdeen area
      #155858 - 26/07/2008 19:21

Hi I am a lady in her early 60's looking for a friend to have days out shopping, Theatre, or just coffee and a chat. Moved up to the area from Yorkshire and it would be great to meet some new people.

Hi duffers - we have a lunch club going in Aberdeen, 13 members but only usually 7-8 manage to meet at a time. This week 3 of us are going to see Mamma Mia in the cinema and we also sometimes meet for drinks - just depends who's around. We had lunch yesterday at No 1 (6 of us, including a newbie) and are meeting for lunch again on Sat 30th August - I'll PM you if you're interested.
We intended to also have a Book Club but when we met one evening, ended up chatting too much and forgot to discuss the book!!
We are aged probably from early to mid forties to sixty somethings and have a laugh and a news (Aberdeen for a chat!).
You would be very welcome to join us.

J x

Hello J
I actually posted this thread for my mum who is looking to meet new people in the area.
We would both love to meet up with you all. Please let me know details re your next meet and we would love to join you. Do you know how she could perhaps get in touch with some of the ladies who are around her age on this forum in Aberdeen maybe to chat ?
I am going to get her registered on this site today.
Thanks again I am looking forward to meeting you all

Will PM you at the weekend with details. Well done for looking after your mum!! My daughter was very encouraging when I started to set up group - although, like some other ladies' daughters, said "what would you say if I arranged to meet strangers on the internet?" !?!

That's why our first meeting last summer was in John Lewis' coffee shop clutching copies of W&H!

I'll be in touch soon. When I PM, you will have a flashing envelope at the blue bit on the top of page by your user name.

J x
