GLASGOW SOUTH SIDE WALKING CLUB
      #81453 - 25/03/2008 21:29

Hi All,
It would seem that Thursday nights are not ideal for meeting up as numbers have reduced since first outing. Looking for ideas about alternative days/times/venue to meet, or maybe we could do a once a month long country walk rather than commit to weekly walks, ending up of course at a nice pub for welcome glass of wine. Let me know if anyone interested in this. Otherwise I give up!!!!!!!

Carol

Well, I'm proud of myself that despite being really tired and late home I went along for a walk tonight again - but again, no-one else was there. I agree with Carol -perhaps we need another strategy - a longer walk once a month sounds good....though my stamina and level of fitness would mean I'd have to go at an easy pace. Sundays would usually be best for me. Happy to give this a whirl if others interested.

I agree that a longer walk once a month would be good, Sundays are good for me - how about the third sunday of the month (gives us time to organise something for the middle of April and hopefully the weather will be improving). I suppose if anyone wants to do shorter walks on an evening in the meantime this could be arranged too on a more informal basis.

Do we need to have another meet up at Parklands to sort this out?

Really hope that this gets off the ground and sorry I haven't been able to attend (Thursdays weren't good for me!)

Jane

Hi All,
Sorry for not being in touch recently , but have been out of action for a time due to hospital stay, for attention to large nasty stone, lodged in bile duct. Happy for us to meet up in Parklands re walking group, Monthly walk seems to be the way forward. Is a Saturday morning a good time for us to meet up to discuss this?

Hi Carol, hope you are feeling better ....sounds as if it was very painful!

I can make myself available most evenings or weekends - apart from 19th and 25th April. What about the following Saturday or a thursday night as that seemed to suit most people initially?

Jane
