I must be into displacement activity. Instead of beginning to load the camper for next week's trip to south Wales, I went to http://www.packinglistonline.com/ and completed all the fields, just to see what suggestions the site would come up with.

Good for a laugh! :D Apparently, for Wales, I need my passport. I also need a "waist bag for the car" (is this the automotive equivalent of a bumbag, that ties round it somehow?), the SAS Survival Guide, gas tanks, a chemical toilet, more waist bags, a thee pot . . . (Is this an alternative to the chemical toilet?)

Try it: go on – next time you're off, on even a short trip, see what this site suggests you pack/take along. And don't forget the kitchen sink.

Quick question ladies.

I am flying to Edinburgh next week and don't really want to take my passport, preferring instead to use my driving licence which the airline states is fine.

However, is just the card with my photo on fine, or do I need the paper bit also? Been googling and can't find the answer anywhere!

Many thanks

A couple of years ago we got an American Express card because you can collect BA airmiles for every pound you spend. It works for us as we shop at BP for petrol and Waitrose for food and both these accept AE card. It is true that not everywhere does accept them because they charge more, but we were able to use it to book our last 2 cruises which added a lot of airmiles.

So far we have used them to go to New York and this year to Prague. We are also using them to for flights to Cape Town next year.

Previously we had a Mint card and got nothing for using them so will be investigating other cards not to see if any others give you extras like nector points etc.
