He wasnt selling anything though (but he could have done!:o).

I will be in his tender care on Friday late afternoon for a couple of hours and he told me I wont feel a thing and will feel very relaxed.

OK.. so its not what you may be thinking!

Im having 4 metal implant posts drilled into my mouth on Friday at the dentists and chose to be sedated for obvious reasons and this guy is the one doing the sedation.

He rang to reassure me about the whole procedure and whats entailed and if I had any questions and to just check on any medications and to make sure i do eat... and then to milk the whole situation all weekend and get my OH waiting on me hand and foot!! The sedation should take up to 6 hours to wear off but as i wont get home until 7.30pm, will be straight off to bed for me..... one way of making me relax and keeping me quiet!! OH cant wait.
Unfortunately I can't see any way it could continue without them.

Hi
Is anyone living in these areas who would like to join a supper club? I was part of a new group in Hull last year and it started small with coffee meets at first and then regular meals out in evenings and really enjoyed them. Have enquired about the Huddersfield/Halifax group and had some friendly replies and hope to go along next month but would really like a more local group if possible.

Good afternoon Ladies,
Thanks for all the congratulations and good wishes.

D is practically "over the moon" SIL too.
They wrote yesterday, they both are totally in love with their son.
His age was set by the Ethiopian doctor at 19 month at the moment, they however think he is younger.

They could not see him for three days because of the paperwork, they had to do. Yesterday he was deeply in sleep when they arrived, waking up he came up to them immediately and later when the nurse said to him to give his mummy a kiss he turned and squeezed his lilltle face to D's.

They don't live very close but it is managable, 50 kms and we already agreed to pick them up at the airport and bring them home but this will still take a little time. Soon we can hug them all :D

I promise I will not report every breath of him, but these are very happy times and as I can see many of you struggling with serious health and other problems, I think it is nice to read something positive.

Have a nice afternoon!

Hi Poster girls...from a once again  faced GeniB

You may remember the last time that happened (or prefer to forget) When I got caught short in bed with not a stitch on the french doors open..and a sudden influx of workmen in my garden....ooh la la

Well..I KNEW the guys were coming back this morning to finish off the frame for the swing they started yesterday...sooo I did take the precaution of closing the slatted french shutters to three quarters shut..Heh why should I get up at sparrow f....t...and miss my brekkie in bed?...Tell you why...because I should have reckoned on a total stranger rushing into my garden with his HUGE Alsatian dog!!!aaagh.(guys had left the gate open). Not only that..but a totally incensed Senga Dog rushing in to my bedroom and having a furious altercation with said intruder..through the teeny tiny gap in the shutters..pawing at them in such a way I expected to be 'revealed' any second...I am then forced to SCREAM at OH..Theres a man in the garden ..with a dog...a BIG dog...The workman of course heard all this and chief honcho came over to investigate...quelle horror....I am now squirrelled down under the duvet...and very quiet....Man has hot footed it(presumable in deep embarrassment....but not nearly as much as mine) Senga thinks this is a game and comes to investigate....OHMYGOD......brekkie in bed? forget it?...feel like MM now.......GeniB

On the cultural theme, a little trip to Jelgava Palace, obviously after the communists wandered in and got all meritocratic, there's a lack of nobility about.

Hi just wondered if anyone could help, I am needing a recipe for lemon cake for daughters wedding reception to go on the dessert table. Preferable something like a tray bake so can be cut into squares and either freezes well or can be made a couple of days in advance and won't spoil.

Off work today and tomorrow so hoping to do some try outs if anyone can help.
Thanks :)

Can see that there are alot of new ladies to the forum this week, so welcome to you all.

Thankfully a quieter day for me and meeting a friend for lunch. Need some quality chill out time.

My GD has her pre-op appointment today - I mentioned she was to have ops on both feet for shortened tendons and they anticipated August. Guess what.... its the 5th June - 2 weeks time! Thats what you call service. So she should be out of plaster by the time the proper school holidays come, even though her break will now start alot earlier! Will be fun for DIL trying to fit in work etc. Hopefully I can go up and help out.

My sons interview went well and its a case of keep everything crossed now!

I do hope everyone has a good day and as always, thinking of all those who are coping with family illness, their own health worries and feeling down for any reason.

PS... anyone seen the sunshine?
