Sue's blog: A relaxing bank holiday?
Friday 2nd May 2008
If your week has been anything like mine - frantic, then an extra day off this weekend is just what we all need. But like most women, if I'm given an extra day I end up filling it with more to do. In my head I plan to chill out, but in reality I don't know how I'm going to fit everything in.
Of course it's all totally weather dependent - such a British thing! If it's good then I'll do a bit of gardening. Well, I'll head off to the garden centre to buy plants. If it's wet weather, then I'll be sorting out the house.
Then my husband and I plan to go to Tate Modern to see the Duchamp, Man Ray and Picabia exhibition. I'm fed up with everyone telling me about it. I want my bit of culture too.
I'm in training - doesn't that sound smart! Actually, I'm going to do a six mile walk in training for our Ribbon Walks. There's still time for you to sign up, although I'm thrilled that so many of you already have.
On Monday we're having family and friends over for lunch. I'll be making the lemon and mascarpone cheesecake from Spring Feel Good Food. From our extensive online recipe collection, I've chosen a simple buffalo mozzerella and Serrano ham starter, followed by a spicy leg of lamb.
So I've done all the planning, now I just need to do the shopping. I will make sure that I have some downtime and so should you.
Have a great weekend
Sue
