Whitney Houston can only be described as a musical legend. Since she first broke onto the music scene back in 1985 she has clocked up an impressive CV with combined worldwide sales of over 170 million, as well as more than 411 awards - making her the most awarded female artist of all time.
But personal events - a tumultuous marriage to fellow musician Bobby Brown and allegations of drug abuse - took their toll on her career and for nearly a decade she's been in the limelight for all the wrong reasons. So imagine our excitement when we heard that the disco diva was back. We couldn't wait to get our hands on a copy of the album.
I Look to You is an impressive mix of big ballads and 80s dance music, reminiscent of hits like I Will Always Love You and I Wanna Dance With Somebody. It's a moving yet upbeat display from the artist that proves that even when you've been through personal upheaval, it's still possible to come out the other side bigger, stronger, and - we're sure - more successful than before.
