Lynda Bellingham's 5 Goals
ROMANCE
The secret to a good relationship is give and take. Laughter is very important, but it's also good to have independent lives, so at the end of the day you can tell each other what's new.
FITNESS
I said no to Strictly initially. I'm very extroverted but am not physically confident, so the showmanship of dancing makes me uncomfortable. In the end, my husband said, "Why can't you accept the challenge - it'll be good for you?" So I decided to do it to prove to myself that I can. Giving up drinking two years ago made me physically fitter. I sleep better, my skin and hair are much better, and I have phenomenal energy.
FRIENDSHIP
I've known my friend Jenny Puddeyfoot since school, and I'm great friends with Lynda La Plante - we met when we started out together as actresses in 1972. Long friendships are like marriages - there's an element of luck because, with the best will in the world, you can grow out of each other, whereas others are friends for life. But you have to work at it.
FIRSTS
What I really want to do is travel round the world - to hit the road and not come back for a year. I need my creature comforts, so would try and organise my trip so there'd be some sitting about but also the chance to absorb some culture in places such as Egypt, Istanbul and Greece. I'd also like to go to India, China, Japan and Tibet.
BEAUTY
I moisturise, I don't smoke or drink, and I exercise three times a week. I don't want to go down the Botox road - plastic surgery makes everyone look the same.
