Manchester Food and Drink Festival 2011

  • Lauren Beeslee

Feast your senses at Manchester’s annual celebration for food and drink

From fine cuisine by Harvey Nichols to the Best of British Street Food, the Manchester Food and Drink Festival promises a wide range of goodies to treat all tastebuds. The festival offers an alternative experience with events such as Come Dine with Metrolink, a dining experience offering a tram tour of the city with stops at three different restaurants for starter, main and desert.

Albert Square will be transformed into a pop-up food village and will play host to an array of celebrity chefs such as Hugh Fearnly-Whittingstall as well as offering demonstrations, cook-offs and tasting sessions throughout the festival.

The festival has something to offer people of all ages and the full programme of events can be found on the website. Some are ticketed, so log on to purchase your place from the Festival Box Office.
