Long-lasting blusher
Pretty cheeks that stay blooming
One spring/summer make-up trend that’s actually worth following this season is pink blusher. A “pop of pink” is just about the fastest, prettiest way to wake up your make-up. Focus colour on cheeks and lips, and you get fresh-looking, groomed make-up without having to overdo the eyes.
Cream blusher
Bobbi Brown Sheer Color Cheek Tint in Sheer Coral, £15.66, is a new tinted gel blusher that’s effortless to apply. Use a big brush to go over it with Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick, £29.36, to give a luminous, airbrushed finish. A tiny bit of Benefit Posie Tint, £22.50, stays the day and, though a vivid pink, gives a fresh flush.
Powder blusher
Clinique Shimmering Stripes Powder Blusher in Cabana Pink, £23, is a beautiful new one to try. “Most women want some sheen to the skin, so remember to top up with a highlighter over the tops of the cheekbones if you decide to go matte elsewhere,” says Karen Mason.
Top tip
“Always apply blush on the apple, unless you have a long face, in which case, apply it horizontally across the face, making it appear wider,” says Karen.
