Long bob hairstyle
Long bob hairstyle
Hilde Oord, 52, is a global planning director for JWT advertising agency.
How it works
Hilde has been letting her hair grow out for a while, but has been colouring it frequently, making the coarse surface layers very dry, dehydrated and flyaway.
Plus, it’s all one length, so not only are the ends frazzled, it’s become a curtain of hair that only serves to drag her face down too.
Thirty minutes later, and five inches shorter, Hilde’s personality is transformed, along with her cut. Instantly, her eyes look brighter, yet the style is a longer-length bob that allows Hilde to still feel feminine and youthful.
What it takes
Great condition is everything when you’re colouring and keeping hair longer than your chin. Take the time to use an intensive moisturising mask once a week, which will get the shine and gloss back into those highlights.
Here, Hilde’s hair was blow-dried using a conditioning protective serum, which reduces damage during any heated styling, and also helps to weigh hair down and reduce the frizzies, making hair look and feel softer and younger.
