Homemade loaves made easy
Nothing beats the irresistible smell of home-baked bread. It stirs up memories and feelings of nostalgia for mum's kitchen and creates an instant sense of homeliness. It's not only fun to bake your own bread, but also cheaper and healthier. This is because you can control the salt and sugar content, avoid additives or preservatives and use organic ingredients.
The only downside is that it can be hard to fit in daily baking sessions. But now Kenwood - the iconic British brand, which has been producing classic kitchen appliances since the
1950s - has made it quicker and easier with its new breadmaker.
Versatile and simple to use, it produces a wide range of loaves, pizza dough, cakes and even fresh jam. The machine also comes with its own recipe book crammed with ideas - you can add any combination of ingredients, such as seeds or olives, to create sweet and savoury breads and cakes. It also has a timer setting, which you can set to bake overnight so you can wake up to the aroma of freshly-baked bread in the morning.
