Try a herbal tea to give you energy. Check out our expert's choices

Kick the caffeine habit and discover the power of herbal teas. Jo Fairley, author of The Ultimate Natural Beauty Book (Kyle Cathie, £14.99) picks her favourites.

Caraway tea: The ancient Greeks prescribed caraway tea to put a flush in the cheeks, so if you’re feeling run-down or pasty, try this:

Crush 1tsp of caraway seeds and cover with 225ml (8fl oz) of boiling water. Steep to taste and sweeten with honey.

Birch tea: Recommended for sluggish circulation and dull skin. Steep one teaspoon of dried leaves in 225ml (8fl oz) boiling water for 8 minutes, and add honey to taste.

It’s a pleasant, woody-flavoured tea. For best results enjoy three times a day.
