The bikini diet plan: food to avoid

Find out what foods you should avoid to lose weight quickly with our bikini diet plan

Want to lose weight quickly with Woman and home magazine's bikini diet plan? Here are the foods to avoid.

- Potatoes - and no sweet potatoes either. Sorry, but you’ll thank us for it later.
- Sugar - skip it in all its disguises and drop it from tea and coffee too.
- Dairy - this includes all cheeses, butter, cream, yogurt and milk, even goat’s and sheep’s cheese! Use soya or rice milk if need be.
- Wheat - bread, pasta, biscuits, pies and pastries are going to slow your weight loss down, so skip it for now.
- Processed foods - that includes ready-meals, processed meats, cakes, pastries and desserts.
- Coffee and tea - use decaff if you can't give up totally, but make sure the caffeine has been removed using the water process method.
- Naughty dressings - that means ready-made sauces, salad dressings, mayonnaise and table sauces.
- No frying. Grilling is fine, steaming is better and if you’re stir-frying then use a little vegetable stock.
- No oil when you cook. Use a little olive oil in dressings, but don’t cook with any kind.
