Human touch board

Find an easy way to tone up your back, abs and bottom with our diet and wellbeing expert's easy fitness tip

The beach is nature’s gym – all that body-toning walking, swimming and surfing. But why risk iffy weather when you can tone at home and stay dry?

The Gizmo: Human Touch Board

A mini motorised surfboard that pitches and rolls, working core muscles in your back, abs and rear as it tests your balance – something we tend to lose with age. That’s why similar concentrated moves in yoga and Pilates are said to help you stay young.

The promise

With three speeds and a variable programme, it claims to improve balance, burn calories and tone muscles. Use the board for just 15 minutes twice a day and you should be bikini ready in six weeks.

Is it for you?

Yes, if you persevere through those first achy-leg sessions, then go on to use it regularly. Testers who stayed the course lost anything from a couple of inches on waist and thighs to a whole dress size.
