THEATRE: The Nutcracker

  • Emma Pritchard

Nothing says Christmas more than a performance of Tchaikovsky’s festive ballet

If you're looking for fun, festive entertainment for all the family, look no further than the English National Ballet's latest interpretation of The Nutcracker.

Returning to traditional roots to celebrate the company's 60th anniversary performance of the show, the production is set in a chocolate-box perfect Edwardian era. It tells the story of Clara, who, on an enchanted Christmas Eve, falls in love with a handsome prince and has a magical adventure in the Land of Snow.

With breathtaking choreography from the English National Ballet, aka the performers of The Nutcracker, you won't be disappointed. The setting spells Christmas from the onset and is perfect entertainment for all ages.

Runs 10 to 30 December, London Coliseum; ballet.org.uk
