Christmas market: Bury St. Edmunds Christmas Fayre

Head to the largest Christmas market in East Anglia for award-winning festivities

Last year's winner of Best Specialist Market at the NABMA (National Association of British Markets Authorities) awards, this combination of six individual markets is the biggest Christmas Market in East Anglia.

Expect colourful stalls selling local produce and crafts, a 'world' market with goods from Europe and beyond, plus an historical gift section for those with a love of things past. With links to Charles Dickens, Angel Hill hosts the traditional fun fair and market stalls, while the Georgian Athenaeum houses other traders in period costume. There'll also be non-stop street entertainment throughout town. And, for younger visitors, head to Santa's grotto on the Saturday and Sunday. Last year over 70,000 people visited the event, so this year be sure to be one of them!
