FILM: Man on Ledge
As it's name reveals, this film is centered on a male protagonist threatening to jump off a high-rise building in New York. While up there, he demands to see negotiator Lydia Anderson (Elizabeth Banks) who's job it is to talk him down.
But as the film progresses and his story unfolds, it is revealed that the man on the ledge is ex-cop and wanted fugitive Nick Cassidy (Sam Worthington). Captivating the attention of police and passers-by on the street below, his ledge act is merely a distraction. Meanwhile, his brother, played by Billy Elliot star Jamie Bell, is carrying out an elaborate diamond heist in a nearby building. The twist? It is all an attempt to prove Nick's innocence.
