Our woman&home astrologer Penny Thornton makes her horoscope predictions for the rest of 2009. Find out what's in store for you, Libra

General
If you're reading this in early June you have four months in which to tie up loose ends and get yourself in as solid a position as possible. And the reason? Saturn arrives in your sign on 28 October for a two and a half-year transit, and this planet means business. Fortunately, Saturn is said to be 'exalted' in Libra, so the chances are you will acquire gravitas during this passage of time, and see your stock rise in every sense of the phrase; nonetheless, weaknesses of any sort will be exposed – emotional, physical, financial, practical etc. - and your mettle will be tested. Thus, the summer and early Autumn is a period in which minor distress signals must be dealt with, and the dates on or near 23rd June, 7th and 22nd July, 1st and 26th August and 19th and 23rd September could prove crucial to your future.

Love
The first half of 2009 put your love life centre stage so you may already have met someone special or tied the knot, however the eclipses of mid-July and late December could also bring a new love into your life, and these are certainly times when fate plays a big hand in your affairs. Strangely enough, once Saturn enters your sign you will feel far more sure of whom you want to be with and you'll be more prepared to make a long-term commitment. In this way the summer could turn out to be a good proving ground for a new relationship – and you know what they say about really getting to know someone when you go on holiday together. And by the same token, you're going to be a lot stronger about ending a partnership over which you've been agonizing for the past two years.

Work and money
Your sign is emerging quite the winner from the economic tsunami. Hard times have brought out the entrepreneur-within and you have experienced, and will continue to find, a degree of luck with jobs, promotions and new ventures. Don't underestimate the power of your charm and don't be too fixed about where you work – everything will slip into place perfectly once the ball starts rolling. Pluto's influence on home ground could cause some concerns over mortgages and property and perhaps one of those decisions you have been putting off has been to do with selling a home. If so, be brave. Downsizing is going to be a huge advantage for you over the next two to three years and less is definitely more.
